Simon Alexander is a retired senior police officer with 30 years’ service. For the last nine years he has worked in His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services, leading on a range of inspections including honour-based violence and domestic abuse.

He is currently the deputy director with responsibility for the Protecting Vulnerable People portfolio, overseeing delivery of the national child protection inspection programme across England and Wales.
